Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs

Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs

I must say that these eggs were so easy to peel! It was as though the peelings slid right off!

Eggs (as many as you like to fill the bottom of the pot rack)
1 cup water

Directions:

Pour the water into the pot, and place the eggs into  a steamer basket if you have one. If not, just use the rack that came with your pot. Close the lid, set for 5 minutes at high pressure. It will take the cooker approximately 5 minutes to build to pressure and then 5 minutes to cook. Let the pressure naturally reduce for an additional 5 minutes after the cooking cycle completes. That's around 15 minutes, total. Place the hot eggs into cool water to halt the cooking process.
Peel & Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 (15.25 oz ) Boxed Cake Mix

Frosting of your choice

Directions:

Prepare the Cake Mix as per directions on the box.

Divide batter into 2 bowls.

Spray a pan with non-stick spray (I used a ceramic "oven safe" pan) Size dependant on the size of your Instant Pot.

Pour half the batter into the pan.

Loosely cover pan with foil.

Place trivet & 1 cup of water into Instant Pot.

Lower cake into pot.

Put on lid & seal vent; Press the cake button setting or the Manual/High for 30 minutes. ( Depending on which Instant Pot you own. Mine has the cake setting. )

After the 30 minutes is up do a 15 minute Natural Pressure Release, then release any remaining pressure.

Check cake with toothpick to make sure it's done.

Remove cake from pot & let cool on wire rack for 10 minutes before removing from pan.

Repeat with remaining cake batter.

Frost cake as desired.

Enjoy! ☺

Instant Pot ™

Okay everyone I am so excited to share this post with you! I recently invested in a new kitchen appliance called the Instant Pot! I first heard about it on Good Morning America. After reading all kinds of customer reviews, almost all positive,
I decided to get one for myself. What is this Instant Pot you ask?
The #InstantPot is a multi-cooker that does the job of a slow cooker, electric pressure cooker, rice cooker, steamer, yogurt maker, sauté/browning pan, and warming pot. It's a single appliance that does the job of seven different kitchen appliances. You can even make cakes in it! 😀
This appliance is going to cut my cooking time in half! ( Winning! ) I should have gone for the 8 quart model, but got the 6 quart one instead.
Needless to say I am one happy camper with my Instant Pot! If you decide to get something new for yourself and your kitchen, get yourself an Instant Pot! You won't be sorry.

I made my first recipe in it tonight. I made a pot roast with potatoes, carrots, onions & celery. Which normally used to take me around 3 hours to prepare in the oven.
I pressure cooked it in the Instant Pot and it only took 45 minutes...with an extra 10 more minutes for the veggies which you add last. Let me just say the roast was falling apart and so juicy! And the vegetables were so tender. Everything was absolutely delicious! 😀

This will be the first of many culinary adventures with my Instant Pot. I do hope you join along with me and enjoy my blog.
